To be successful in today’s society, I believe several key elements are crucial. Firstly, a strong sense of self-belief and confidence is essential. As a business coach for women entrepreneurs, I have witnessed countless instances where self-doubt held individuals back from realizing their full potential. Developing a mindset of resilience and embracing failure as a learning opportunity is also crucial.

My path into this industry started when I realized I know longer wanted to work for someone else, but didn’t know how to transition to the becoming an entrepreneur. Have you ever had to pivot?
It was 2008 and I was deep into real estate. The market was great; mortgage companies were basically handing out loans like candy. Then the real estate market crashed. My income gone, investment properties gone, my livelihood essentially wiped out. How was I going to survive? I had foreclosures on my credit that caused my credit score to plummet. I never even used any credit cards, etc. Then I realized, there must be others in my same situation for various reasons. I left the real estate industry and started a credit repair agency. I took what skills I had from real estate and applied it to gaining a new clientele; individuals with low credit scores and profiles and a lack of financial literacy.
For more than 10 years, I became the go to credit girl! I knew all things credit from what a healthy credit profile looks like to how to leverage inaccuracies and credit consumer laws for your advantage. I soon grew my company to nearly six figures helping people gain financial literacy, great credit scores, and giving them a pathway towards owning a home, business, and/or other financial opportunities.
Through this experience, I believe that in every pitfall or downturn, there is opportunity to rise and create a different lane.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has been a combination of referrals and online presence. Referrals from satisfied clients and professional connections have played a significant role in bringing new clients to my agency. When someone receives value from my services and recommends me to others, it’s a powerful endorsement that builds trust and credibility.
Additionally, establishing a strong online presence through various channels such as social media, my website, and industry-specific platforms has been instrumental in attracting new clients. By consistently sharing valuable content, insights, and success stories, I have been able to showcase my expertise and connect with a broader audience of women entrepreneurs seeking support and guidance.
Networking events, speaking engagements, and collaborations with complementary businesses have also been effective in expanding my client base. Building relationships and establishing myself as a trusted authority in my field has helped me gain visibility and attract potential clients who resonate with my approach.
Overall, a combination of referrals, online presence, networking, and building strategic partnerships has been the best source of new clients for me. Each of these avenues contributes to creating a strong and sustainable client base for businesses.
