Dominique, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later

If I could go back in time I wish I would have started my business sooner. I started my business in 2020 from a love of making unique gifts and wreaths. I started making wreaths and gifts for coworkers and it just took off from there. Career wise I was a Medical Assistant working at a Job that after 10years I started to have to rebid for every 6 months which was frustrating to say the least. Looking back I think it happened when God wanted it to because every order brought in another or and larger orders, Although I wish I started sooner I would rather it be in God’s timing and not mine.

Dominique, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My Name is Dominique Daniels I’m 37 year old Mom of a Beautiful 8 year old Daughter. I’m the owner of Boldlyblesseddesignsllc. I got into the crafting industry because I wanted to make things to make people smile. Our items are all made custom to our clients needs. We offer Wreaths, t-Shirts, gift baskets, tumblers, stickers, signs. We provide our customers with a way to uniquely give gifts. Our business clients we offer them a way to advertise without the hard work. Our wreath customers we provide them with a custom wreath that they won’t see on anyone else’s door. We have provided wreaths for a faith based business which helped them to show their faith as a community. I think what sets us apart from others is that we do so much for our clients if they have a problem we find a solution.

The main thing I want people to know about Boldlyblesseddesignsllc is that we are a God led business we focus on our clients needs and give the highest attention to every project. We also pray over every item we complete because with God all things are possible. We appreciate every customer, every order, every person who shares a post, and everyone we encounter.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?

I started this business creating gifts for coworkers and it took off when I took a leap of faith and sent a non-profit organization a wreath. This led to my first 100 wreath bulk order. This was a blessing because at the time my position at my Job was eliminated so in a month I wouldn’t have a job. From that order I continued to get more orders from business and not just the small orders I had been getting when I was working. I realized I had to think bigger so I started to market more to businesses that I knew of and not just people I knew. Finishing that order was a big milestone for me because I never imagined when I mailed one that I would have to mail 100+ more. Shipping is another part of business every business owner should learn.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I think that my faith and good customer service is what built my reputation. When I started I didn’t have a budget to market so I depended a lot on referrals. What I have realized is that I treat every customer as if they were a family member I pray when I receive order. I pray over their business sometimes I pray with them if God leads me to. Every order we get we give it great attention and we often help our customers find better ways to service their customers as well.
