We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dominika Jasinski a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Dominika, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
During the pandemic, like most, my biggest concern was the health of my family. I was constantly trying to find ways to keep my loved ones healthy by making clean and delicious recipes. Juicing was always one of my hobbies, but I found it especially important during this time that we should be enduring as much nutrients as possible, I made it my top priority. Eventually I started sharing my cold presses not only to family but close friends as well, and they loved it! They gave me the idea to start a business of my own to sell my fresh juices, not only could I share the value of keeping your body healthy, but as a stay at home mother this idea gave me a passion to be driven about. The first step was to apply for my LLC, then I created an Instagram profile showing the products I would be marketing. Once people found interest in the juices, I was overwhelmed with love and support from so many new customers. The fact that I was a safe haven of flavors to everyone, gave me more motivation to continue than ever. This is when I took the next steps to finding a brick and mortar for my business, learning the do’s and do not’s of running a self-owned, as well as how to promote my products even more. To this day I am still learning ways to make Healthy Flavors even better, and am looking forward to see what the future will bring.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I’m constantly trying to grow clientele. Strategies that I’ve noticed being crucially helpful are partnering with other health and wellness influencers, attending in community as well as private events to be able to showcase our products, and building a strong online presence has also been key. I implement a strategy of regularly rotating juice flavors every few weeks and introduce new varieties to maintain customer engagement.


Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
The books that have really enhanced my expertise of health as well as juice recipes is the series Medical Medium, written by Anthony William. Something I’ve realized as I got closer with my customer is they were seeing me as a doctor figure, always coming to me for advice for anything they were struggling with health wise. Whenever I didn’t know exactly what to recommend I always felt like I had let them down, this is when I embarked on a journey of studying and delving deeper into understanding the intricacies of the human body and its requirements for maintaining optimal health.
