Dominiece, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Often outsiders look at a successful business and think it became a success overnight. Even media and especially movies love to gloss over nitty, gritty details that went into that middle phase of your business – after you started but before you got to where you are today. In our experience, overnight success is usually the result of years of hard work laying the foundation for success, but unfortunately, it’s exactly this part of the story that most of the media ignores. Can you talk to us about your scaling up story – what are some of the nitty, gritty details folks should know about?
On a day’s journey as a small business owner, I would meet with clients, friends, family members we would discuss the issues and pitfall they were having in their businesses. Which always seem to be cash flow. So, I then started to research the market I learned thousands of other business owners where suffering from the same growth blockage. To me this implied a problem, and I had a solution to these problems. I Then learned the requirements more so needs a business owner needed to Uptain financial help from willing organizations within their line of business, this knowledge would allow me to service my clients as a more successful rate. Which was also beneficial to the client’s growth in business as well. The best then I could have done in my business was to get educated on what I looked at as a solution to many problems within the entrepreneur industry. It was many meaningful moments where my knowledge spoke for itself when being placed around other smart and beneficial people. After I saw diction and hard work of educating my and applying the tools, I learned produce major results for clients and strategies for my company. There were mistakes made along the way, but I have learned mistakes are. necessary in order to grown knowing that I WILL make mistakes lets me know I have the advantage over all obstacles that come my way. My growth came from understanding. that I won’t get everything right, I will make mistakes but what’s more important is the lesson that I get from my mistakes and effectively apply them into my business.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
As a business owner i had to unlearn that every client is not my client. I thought over 7 years ago that every client comes across my desk is a client. As i unlearned this negative way of thinking i was able to go after my true clientele which is a group of business owners that can take corrected circumstances and apply the tools given at hand. Thinking every client is my client put me in a very bad position because i could not met those expectations of everyone.
