Dominic , appreciate you joining us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
My hero? Well theres a question no one has ever asked me. A person I look up to has to be my old USAF SGT Jerold Jerry Sowles retired with a Masters degree in Counseling. Who helped pave the way for Department of Homeland security. Why? In my years of training at INDOC for USAF CCT to me he stood 10’ tall and never wavered. He was as intimidating as they come. But always with an approach to do better than before and “never quit on yourself.” His influences had an early onset to set a foundation for myself to stand true and never give up, always pushing us (the team) to edge. “If not living on the edge you are taking up too much space”, or find “your pony… that’s a whole other story there. He has influence on till this day. Always teaching me even from afar….”keep leaning forward and never quit”. We have remained in contact even after our years in the Air Force.

My advice to you as my mentor would put it. Never quit never give up keep leaning forward in order for you to fly. You need to jump. A leap of faith is scarier than but it actually is when you start flying it is blissful.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Being humble is probably one of the hardest things to do when you’re surrounded by a world of chaos. When you are distracted by the little stuff and you tend to that little stuff, your ultimate goal becomes inevitably harder. Stay focused don’t sweat the small stuff because it’s all small stuff.. There’s no such thing as stress either you do it or you don’t.
