Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dominic Del Signore | Homestead Circus Productions. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Dominic Del Signore | thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
One of the kindest things that anyone has done for me is share information. Real information. The nitty gritty details and guidelines on how things work. Tactics to find leads and success in sales. People are so guarded with their success formulas. At least in the US, there is a strong famine mentality thats deeply integrated in the arts & entertainment sector. Its so very rare for successful entrepreneurs in my industry to be direct and fully honest, especially when the conversation is between to people in the same or similar market area. I’ve been beyond blessed to have so many mentors, friends, and even colleagues share open dialogue around this type of business information. I’ve had newly made friends plug me in and give me chances to execute on the info they’ve shared with me. Lots of these relations have led to collaboration and a diverse menu of opportunities. These type of genuine efforts to share and help someone along their journey are absolutely precious and create a true “pay it forward” effect that ripples throughout the industry. I am beyond grateful for this type of kindness.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi everyone, I’m Dominic Del Signore, an acrobat and entrepreneur with 10+ of experience in the events industry. My partner Rikki Morehouse and I began Homestead Circus Productions in 2018, and have been designing entertainment experiences for all types of events and situations ever since. From immersive ambient entertainment and brand activations all the way to full on acrobatic stage shows. Over the years of working along side every type of vendor imaginable, I’ve developed a keen sense for logistics and intuition for how guests are feeling, ensuring seamless activations in real time. With each project, I bring clients and partners into my circle of trusted and reliable professionals for exceptional results no matter how complex the task. We are creative consultants with the perspective and know-how to bring event design concepts to life with precision. Our team eases the burden of event management and producers. We choreograph moments and train our artists adapt to the unique situations that live events present.
We are proud to create the “wow” factor, photo ops, conversation starters, stage performances and all around memorable experiences that make your event stand out from all the rest.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Absolutely! I really wish I had known about industry associations and all of the resources that local tourism offices have to offer. It’s deeply important to find community with all the sectors of your industry. If you interact with the world around you, there are unimaginable opportunities that will present themselves.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a professional creative is the freedom. There is a freedom to imagine and create new ways to integrate your skills with the needs of society. In this way, there are as many professional opportunities in the world as you can come up with. It feels limitless.
