We were lucky to catch up with Domanique Burnett recently and have shared our conversation below.

Domanique, appreciate you joining us today. One of our favorite things to brainstorm about with friends who’ve built something entrepreneurial is what they would do differently if they were to start over today. Surely, there are things you’ve learned that would allow you to do it over faster, more efficiently. We’d love to hear how you would go about setting things up if you were starting over today, knowing everything that you already know.

I have a YouTube business. So, something I would do starting over. Would be being consistent and sharing my channel more. I feel like when you’re being consistent things come to you faster. The type of field that i am in you have to be consistent or else you’ll fall out of the algorithm. I believe that I’ve could’ve gotten to where I am now faster and probably much more further than I am now.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hey everyone, my name is Domo B. I am an upcoming YouTuber. I started back in 2019 I fell off a little bit due to pregnancy but since then I’ve managed to make my way back up. Something that I can say I am really proud of is just not quitting and continuing to follow my dreams of being a well known YouTuber. I feel like what sets me apart from other YouTubers, is that I’m constantly showing you guys the good, the bad, the ups, and downs. Real people want to see real situations. I want people to know that life is not always perfect. So watching my channel be prepared to see a lot of authenticity and to fall in love with my content.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Something I will say about building your social media audience. Is posting every day, and when I say every day, I mean every day. Once you get into the algorithm, you’ll start to notice your followers go up, your subscribers go up, and your views go up. Some people post at least three times a day. Some people do two times a day, and some people just post every single day. my advice is to post at least three times a day whether it’s YouTube whether its Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or even lemon8. Post, post, post.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

As I look at my old videos. I wish I would’ve known about the editing tools that I know about now. I feel like my videos would’ve been a little bit more better but honestly you learn as you go. So, I wouldn’t change anything but I kind of wish I did know of those things prior to me editing my videos and thumbnails.
