We were lucky to catch up with Domanique Burnett recently and have shared our conversation below.
Domanique, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
Yes, because I feel like I would have been so much farther then I am now. I know everything takes time but I will tell anyone to always listen to your gut feeling. If your gut is telling you to do something don’t worried about how it’s going to get done. More than likely the way is already paved for you. When things get hard never give up and the best is yet to come.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Well my name is Domanique, I go by Domo B. I started working as a creator when I was younger but I never took it serious. I started taking my work serious when I was 27. I know I would be great in this industry because once you are doing something that you love doing it’s not work. I want my potential clients to know I’m driven, hard working, and I’m following my purpose. My dedication will show in my work and you will never think twice about booking me for any business inquires.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Man, the most rewarding part of this business is receiving feedback after putting your work out there. Also, to know that there are so many others out here. Doing the same thing that you’re doing and you’re not alone.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Post content and staying consistent. Even though I am not where I want to be at this momment I will get there eventually. When you are posting your content make sure to post at least three times a day on each platform. If you find this hard to do good thing is now they have so many apps that can help you schedule to post your content. Even instagram and Facebook have a scheduler on their platform. Also, make sure you find your niche. What kind of content you want to create for the people you are engaging in. I say this because it’s hard to switch up content when you have a certain audience that is already following you. Sometimes you may lose followers or subscribers because of this. Even when that happens just stay focus on what’s the real goal. Which is your doing something you love.
