We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dom-San. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dom-San below.
Hi Dom-San, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I started making music to inspire and to heal and leave the listener with an experience that can be used to push them forward!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I honestly got into the industry by a series of events starting back in high school..pretty much it was my senior year of high school and I had a free period so I would just go to my friends classrooms to hangout until my guidance counselor told me I had to take a class so she suggested I take piano and by that time I already had a love for music but didn’t think I would like the class..well when I took the class the first day? I’ve been playing piano ever since and that’s what essentially got me into making music and eventually translating that into production once I heard the Joey Bada$$ 1999 tape.
The main thing I want potential collaborators to know is that I want to provide you with a unique and quality pallet to express yourself over & to most importantly make a change in someone else’s life through the power of music!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I’ve been producing for about 10 years now with no major placements but through these years I’ve cultivated many connections with those who have and to me that’s God’s way of inspiring me to eventually get to that point by continually working hard against all odds because I believe pure intentions and hard work leads to success.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to understand that just because your good doesn’t mean much because there will always be someone “better” and by that I mean ahead of you in terms of paying their dues. It’s all about investing and believing yourself and making sure your intentions are pure.
