Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dolla 512. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Dolla, appreciate you joining us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?

ok so this is a great question, being in this music industry is amazing but its not all i do i have two regular jobs too i also work as a bartender and kitchen manager as well so i am doing everything in one. i get to live this amazing music career life and also work a regular job or jobs lol but hopefully one day soon music is all i do I’m very passionate about music so i also engineer all my own music and for some other artist as well if i can so any one of those jobs for life it be amazing .

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

ok well hello new readers i am dolla512 i got into music as a after school program called the Cipher atx it was a non profit organization that was for kids to go to and express them selves with hip hop and from then i just fell in love with the culture and everything about it. here we are 10 years later and I’m still learning and getting better at my craft everyday. what sets me apart from everyone else is I’m not in it just for the money I’m in it for the love of hip hop and music i couldn’t see my self here without it and i love to entertain the stage for me is everything being up there feels like no other feeling in the world. id say the thing I’m most proud of is I’m actually pursuing my passion i am proud i am doing something i love and something that makes me happy and hopefully makes the fans and followers happy. if your looking for a well rounded artist to entertain you and to have a show you remember for life its deff gonna be a show I’m performing at for people who have seen me before to new people.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?

this is a good question actually yes i wish i had known more bout distribution more because it would have saved a lot of hassle from me doing all the foot work to getting some help and going global.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

the most rewarding aspect of being a artist for me is i get to show people my skills and what i can do i love to see there responses and faces while I’m doing my performance and after!
