We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dodi Kessler a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Dodi, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
“The consistent encouragement and the positive feedback on my short costume social media reels were instrumental in my decision to pursue a singing telegram business. I’ve always had a passion for performing, and the idea of combining that with my love for costumes and entertaining others felt like a natural fit. While I may not be a professional singer, I’ve always enjoyed making people laugh and bringing joy to their day. I hope to continue doing that through my singing telegram business.”

“What sets me apart? I’m the singing telegram entertainer who turns every moment into a memory. While my voice may be a little off-key and my dance moves a bit awkward, my performances are filled with heart and humor. I love surprising people with unexpected bursts of song and laughter, whether it’s crashing a dull professional business meeting or turning a birthday dinner at a restaurant into a dance party. My goal is simple: to bring joy to the world, one ridiculous note at a time.”
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
“The most rewarding part of being a silly, off-key singing, costume-wearing entertainer is witnessing the genuine joy it brings to others. There’s nothing quite like seeing a smile light up someone’s face or receiving a heartfelt message about how my antics have brightened their day. It’s my passion and life’s goal to spread joy and laughter, especially to those who may be going through tough times.”
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
“Being a light in the darkness is my driving force. I love being goofy, humble, kind, caring, and empathetic, and my mission is to remind everyone that they are loved. While I may not be wealthy in a traditional sense, my true riches come from the depth of my heart and soul. Making this my full-time career would be an absolute dream come true, as it would allow me to spread joy and positivity on a larger scale.”
