We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful DJ EAROUSE. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with DJ below.
DJ , appreciate you joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
EAROUSE came from the combination of
« arouse » and « ears »
My main mission as a DJ is to stimulate every part of the body and soul but I also arouse and stimulate ears. No Diddy

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m DJ EAROUSE, a passionate sound curator and music afficionado specializing in Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, Amapiano, Dancehall and i season some Drill, Trap, Jersey here and there. My journey started with an early love for sound, from the algerian Rai music tapes of my Mother to the DJ Premier AND1 Mixtapes i’d have on limitless replay, i was immersed and passioned evolving from crate-digging to rocking clubs, concerts, and private events. I don’t just mix tracks, I create experiences, reading the crowd and delivering unforgettable vibes.
Beyond DJing, I produce original tracks and remixes, always pushing creative boundaries. What sets me apart? My ability to blend music seamlessly, elevate energy, and leave a lasting impact on the dancefloor.
I’m proud of the residencies and concerts openings i achieved, but most of all, I love connecting people through frequencies.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Resilience is definitely a must-have skill as a DJ, most of the fellow DJ’s are not signed and every cost needs to be wisely revised.
It’s more than just spinning records when it comes to talk about the business side, Flyers, Promotion, Gig Searches and lack of security and certainity when it comes to be paid sometimes, you name it.
I had a contract based on liquor sales where i wouldn’t get a penny if the sales cap was not reached, i had to come out of pocket in order to promote and pay guest DJ’s that would come and spin with me.
I had to be resilient when there wasn’t any compensation for my performances and the passion was fueling and helping me overcome these hardships.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
My journey into DJing wasn’t easy, but it was fueled by pure passion. I started out working as a server in restaurants, saving every tip and paycheck to buy my first DJ controller and speakers. It wasn’t glamorous (long shifts, late nights, and a lot of hustle) but every dollar I earned brought me closer to my dream.
Once I had the basics, I took every opportunity to practice, play at small gigs, and reinvest in better equipment. Over time, my dedication paid off, and I started booking bigger events, allowing me to turn my passion into a full-time career. That grind taught me the value of hard work and persistence, two things that still drive me today.
