We recently connected with Dj Chico Swav A and have shared our conversation below.
Dj Chico , appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Trial-and-error ,I started producing music as A DJ Learning how to chop and screw back in 2009/2010. I knew there was always something different about the way that I heard music sonically, I would listen to songs on the radio and sort of remix them in my head. I’ve learned different techniques from artist On engineering and mixing and mastering also from fellow Dj’s and from personal experiments. I am also a person that isn’t afraid to go watch a tutorial to learn how to do something. What I know now is to stick to the plan as far as everything has a foundation and you build upon it. I would have done my research on tutorials and practice consistently Makes everything flow smoother in the long run. The most essential skill is having rhythm without rhythm. It’s hard to develop Passion without Passion it just becomes a chore. I was my best friend and my worst enemy. My stubbornness is what holds me back. I have to humble myself to start from the bottom and work my way up as long as I keep that under control nothing can hold me back.

I am a professional DJ.Radio show personality, Producer, Engineer and content creator. I provide exclusive remixes for clients, Artist promotion, Interviews, Content creator premieres, mixing and mastering. I help artists with artist development ,suggestions ,themes and gimmicks. What sets me apart from the rest of the competition out there Is the pure dedication for greatness. I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity and you can always do your best. For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being creative?
The most rewarding thing for me is to give every client respect and dignity and reassurance and satisfaction with the product they are being provided with.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I give all glory to God, I’ve been in some low points in my life and it is only by the grace that I was able to make it through. I think my family, family and my close friends for being there for me when I needed them, you did for them and the reassurance and love that is given to get me back in the game.
