Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to DJ CEASE. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
DJ, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
One of the biggest risks I ever took was actually moving to Florida from New Jersey, actually! I was born in Brooklyn, NY but raised in North Jersey (shouts to 973) and leaving the place I called home where I actually knew everyone was super intimidating. I knew I had to make a change or else I would become another statistic. I lost alot of friends to the prison system and it was too easy for me to get involved in the street/gang life.
My dad actually saw one of those late night infomercials about cheap lots in Cape Coral, FL and decided to buy a few and ended up moving here to build his dream house after saving enough money to do so.
A few years later in November of 2004, I was aimless and jobless quickly spiraling out of control and he brought me down to Florida to change my perspective.
It ended up being the greatest thing that could have happened to me. I owe Florida (specifically SWFL) alot and that is why we are so invested in working within our community.
SouthWest Florida is my home and gave me another chance at life!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have been around the music scene for as long as I can remember.
My cousin used to dj in the basement with his friends in the 1990s and I used to watch them with all their crates of vinyls and that music bug was planted in me.
The funny thing is that I didn’t start off as a DJ.
My musical career actually began as a recording artist. I started recording music back in the day on an old NOKIA phone. Just for fun, I would record remixes of songs. Word started to spread and I linked up with some friends who also did music and we started getting booked all over town.
I taught myself how to record music and began doing free studio work and met alot of artists that way.
Eventually I started focusing more on the studio aspect of things and naturally gravitated towards mashing music up.
That all led to eventually becoming a dj and pursuing it for fun at first.
I started in the EDM scene and eventually became an open format dj due to my love of all kinds of music not just house.
That’s how my company Royalty Events & Photobooths became a reality. I wanted to be a professional and affordable option for people who wanted to have KILLER events!
Right now we have multiple DJ’s and photobooth staff members we work with and are constantly adding new services like Audio Guestbooks, Cold Sparks, Dancing On The Clouds and Audio Visual services as well.
We have multiple photobooth options as well that all come with premium upgrades like custom designs for your photo experience and premium tension backdrops.
We also have a drone company that can take High definition picture or video for any event.
We even do NOTARY services!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Probably our work ethic and attention to detail. We want our clients to really feel a connection with us.
Every client that books with us becomes FAMILY.
We will always try our best to make sure that we go above and beyond to gain your trust.
You DESERVE it.

How did you build your audience on social media?
We try to post our events as much as possible to make sure that our followers are able to keep up with where we are and what we are doing.
It also helps potential clients to see us in action and be able to get a vibe on how we like to do things.
The main thing I would recommend is to be consistent. Post engaging content and be true to yourself and what your mission is.
