We recently connected with Dj 4Play and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Dj, thanks for joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
The company was launched after 4Play was sent back home from school after a situation dealing with McMurry University in 2019. He was force to return home without the ability to return after the school denied of receiving aid for the following year. Dreams turnt into nightmares even more when the pandemic hit in 2020. It seemed if there was no hope but dealing with time working security and looking another outlet to be successful, he created a business that catered to the people in need like himself. Music is a tool that everybody needs in their life, and that’s why the company is to share with the world of people even through life is a struggle you give to the people what they need which is a good time.
Dj, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Getting into entertainment is a leap of faith, also being ready for a long road of work to make your mark in this industry. 4PlayEntertainment is build off of the people and its love of having a good time, making memories and giving the people something different they’ve been waiting on. To make that happen Dj4Play has took the brand on to the next level breaking to major partners in the music industry also serving the community as well. We’ve been able make alliance with different genres and agriculture because of his expectations and work ethic. Dj4play has been able to work with different major Artists and record labels as of Def-Jam Records, DreamChasers Records, also mention in Voyage Of Houston Magazine in 2022. He’s been able to carry this company with his versatile skills behind the turntables. Being one of the biggest dj’s coming out of Houston, going to city to city rocking out different crowds, putting in the work to show the people where he’s from they have a chance at doing something different, and it okay to show creativity through a struggles of life. Expanding 4PlayEntertainment as company, we’ve been able to create merchandise that shows and represents skills and experience of 4Play’s vision to related to the people all over the country. Through all dealing with the music industry, our company still provide services to the community because there the reason we thrive.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Our company want to give an expectational services to the people giving them more than expected. Many people look for a good time and that’s what we provide, that’s what 4play’s vision is and with his worth ethic people have been attract to the progress and the skills being a Disc Jokey.
Have you ever had to pivot?
,Dj4play has been for the people ever since he started is career wanting give a services and to leave his mark on the people that love his work. Things has not been a easy road, but has been a lot of sacrifices to make things work, 4play has made it his duty to execute every time there’s a opportunity to express the love he have for the people.
