We were lucky to catch up with Dione Gantt recently and have shared our conversation below.
Dione, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Pretty Poodle Entertainment started right in my living room. It began with a simple paint-and-sip night I hosted for a close friend—just laughter, music, creativity, and good energy. I’ve always loved hosting small gatherings at home, and I found so much joy in watching people come together, unwind, and make real memories. That spark turned into something bigger when I realized I could take that same energy and scale it up—bringing those intimate, feel-good moments into larger, more curated experiences.
Living in Las Vegas, I constantly hear from people that it’s hard to connect in such a transient city. That stuck with me. I wanted to create spaces that felt intentional—where people could vibe, laugh, play, and most importantly, connect. Every Pretty Poodle event is designed to bring people together, spark joy, and help build lasting relationships, all wrapped in Good Vibez.
The clothing line, PPE Clothing, grew from that same heart. A lot of my pieces carry the tag line Good VIBEZ Over Everything, because I believe in protecting your peace, finding joy in everyday moments, and giving others grace. It’s more than a hoodie—it’s a whole lifestyle. And sometimes that lifestyle starts with simply wrapping yourself in something soft, high-quality, and rooted in positivity.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, I’m Dione Gantt, founder of Pretty Poodle Entertainment and PPE Clothing. I’m a creative at heart, a lover of good energy, and someone who’s always believed that joy, connection, and community should be at the center of every experience. My journey started in the most natural way—hosting small gatherings in my home. One of the very first was a cozy paint-and-sip night with a close friend, and it lit a fire in me. I loved watching people relax, laugh, and connect. It wasn’t long before I knew I wanted to take that same positive energy and bring it to larger spaces across Las Vegas.
Pretty Poodle Entertainment was born to create high-quality, blended experiences that feel like a dose of nostalgia, a room full of laughter, and a reminder that community still matters. In a transient city like Las Vegas, people often say it’s hard to meet others or build meaningful connections. That’s the gap I aim to fill—by curating events that make people feel welcome, seen, and connected.
Here’s a look at our three signature events that capture the heart of what we do:
Run It Back Happy Hour – A rotating 90s-themed social hour that brings the fun and the flashbacks! We mix it up with karaoke, 90s trivia bingo, scramble boards, and other games that take you right back to the golden era of hip hop, R&B, and good vibes. Hosted in a local Black-owned restaurant, this event is all about creating a laid-back space where grown folks can vibe, laugh, and reconnect over Jenga, Uno, dominoes, and delicious comfort food. It’s the perfect after-work wind-down that brings the neighborhood together in a real way. From chicken & waffles to old-school jams and grown folks’ laughter, this event is all about unwinding, playing, and reliving the vibe we all love from the 90s.
Rims & Rhythms – This is our elegant, soul-filled evening that brings together a live mixology class, local artists—including spoken word poets, musicians, and R&B singers—and a curated selection of catered small bites. It’s a sensory experience that blends taste, sound, and culture. Even more powerful, it’s also a fundraiser for The Cupcake Girls, supporting individuals in the adult industry and survivors of s*x trafficking. It’s one of our most meaningful ways to give back while enjoying a beautiful night of artistry and community.
Bottle Brushes & Brunch – This one is for the sisterhood. It’s a bottomless mimosa paint party combined with delicious brunch, local vendors, and a commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness. We talk about early detection, share resources, and most importantly, stand in solidarity with our sisters who have fought or are fighting this battle. It’s healing, it’s joyful, and it’s powerful.
Beyond events, I launched PPE Clothing, a lifestyle brand that lets you wear your values with pride. From hoodie workout tanks to sweater maxi dresses, crop tops, and sweatshirt dresses—the pieces may change, but the VIBE never does. Every item is grounded in our message: “Good VIBEZ Over Everything.” It’s a reminder to protect your peace, find joy, and give grace—even when life gets busy. For me, it’s not just clothing. It’s a lifestyle.
I’m incredibly proud to use my platform to highlight vital programs and resources in our community—especially those many people don’t even know exist. I believe in creating partnerships that connect the people who need services with the organizations that provide them. Whether it’s through our events, our social media, or in-person activations, community awareness and impact are at the core of what we do.
At the end of the day, my goal is to build spaces that feel like joy, create connections that last, and offer products that speak to your spirit. If you’re ready to experience a little nostalgia, meet new people, and keep your vibe protected, I invite you to tap in with us:

Pretty Poodle Entertainment is more than events. It’s entertainment with heart and memories that last. And through it all, it will always be Good VIBEZ Over Everything.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I’ve had to learn is one I still remind myself of often:
“Your dreams are valid. Your pace is divine.”
As a creative and entrepreneur, it’s easy to look around and compare. I’ve watched people in my circle sell out rooms, pack out events, and hit milestones that, in full honesty, I sometimes hoped I would’ve hit by now. It can be disheartening if you allow yourself to focus on what looks like success for others instead of trusting the path you’re on.
But I believe that God gave me this vision—and the resilience to follow it through—for a reason. When I shift my mindset and remind myself that my pace is divine, everything changes. I don’t have to rush. I don’t have to compete. If it’s truly for me, no one can take it away. That truth grounds me.
Now, instead of focusing on numbers or comparisons, I focus on the impact. Whether it’s 5 people or 50, I’m deeply grateful for every single person who chooses to spend their time and money supporting what I’ve built. I see them, I appreciate them, and I pour my heart into making their experience a good one.
That mindset shift—from frustration to gratitude—has been transformational. It’s helped me lead with joy, walk in purpose, and stay rooted in what I know to be true: this dream is mine, and I’m walking it out at the exact pace I’m supposed to.

Have you ever had to pivot?
One of my most meaningful pivots came after a conversation with a business consultant. They encouraged me to expand by modeling my brand after a few others in the community that had already made a huge footprint. It sounded like a great idea at first—add another monthly event, increase my reach, and boost income. That’s how the idea for The Good Vibez Collective was born: more events, more impact, more visibility.
But as I started to build it out, I realized I was drifting away from the core of why I started Pretty Poodle Entertainment. I was working harder, not smarter. I wasn’t moving in alignment—I was moving in comparison.
So I paused and asked myself: How can I keep the intention, but make it make sense for my energy, my brand, and my community focus?
That’s when I came up with the Pull Up Plan. Instead of creating a whole new set of events, I decided to highlight other events and small businesses in our community and share where I’d be “pulling up” each month. I invited my followers to come vibe with me, support others, and still build connections—but without all the added planning pressure.
It was a total game changer. Not only did it save me time and energy, but it also stayed true to my mission of community building, collaboration over competition, and spreading Good Vibez. Plus, it gave other promoters and small businesses visibility in the process. That’s a win for everyone.
That pivot taught me that growth doesn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes it means doing what you do best—just more intentionally.
