We were lucky to catch up with Dina Richi recently and have shared our conversation below.
Dina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
Owning Skin Rehab Beverly Hills has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I am driven by my passion for beauty and wellness and the desire to offer the best treatments to our clients. There’s a unique joy in creating a space where people can feel rejuvenated and confident. However, there are moments when the weight of running a business feels overwhelming. I remember a particularly challenging time last November, during the launch of Skin Rehab Beverly Hills. The long hours, coordinating with suppliers, training staff, and managing marketing campaigns were exhausting. One night, after a 14-hour day, I thought, “What if I had a regular job with a fixed schedule and less responsibility?”
But as I sat there, I reflected on why I started Skin Rehab Beverly Hills. The freedom to innovate, make impactful decisions, and see clients leave with a smile are irreplaceable. The passion I have for beauty and wellness and the vision of creating a sanctuary for our clients drove my decision to start this journey. In moments of doubt, I remind myself of the bigger picture and long-term goals. The incredible team and wonderful clients make the challenges worthwhile. While the thought of a regular job crosses my mind occasionally, the fulfillment from being a business owner far outweighs the temporary appeal of a 9-to-5 job. This reflection always reaffirms my decision and strengthens my resolve to continue growing Skin Rehab Beverly Hills.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve been in the beauty industry for 13 years. My journey began as a hair stylist, where I discovered my true passion: empowering women to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. When choosing beauty treatments for myself, I used to focus on popular trends like Botox, fillers, and plastic surgeries. However, about seven years ago, I began my spiritual journey to healing and started to question what real beauty truly means. I realized that true beauty is more than skin deep; it’s about nurturing the inner self—a harmonious blend of body, mind, and spirit. Motherhood deepened this understanding for me, highlighting the importance of embracing life’s natural progression.
In 2021, I co-founded SCULPTURED, a company specializing in holistic body sculpting. Our unique approach quickly gained recognition among Beverly Hills’ elite, establishing my reputation in the beauty industry. Now, in 2023, I have launched Skin Rehab Beverly Hills, a brand that goes beyond traditional skincare and focuses on holistic wellness. My mission is to provide a mindful and caring experience, ensuring that every client feels valued and empowered. I’m proud to create a space where you can truly feel your best, inside and out.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Building an audience on social media was a journey of learning and consistency for me. When I began, I knew authenticity was key. I shared my journey in skincare and holistic wellness, staying true to my passion for empowering individuals. Consistency was crucial; I posted regularly, even when engagement was low. Each post was a chance to learn what resonated with my audience and adjust accordingly.
Staying updated was essential, as social media algorithms evolve constantly. I invested time in understanding these changes and adapting my strategy. I followed and engaged with accounts aligned with my values and mission, learning from those who inspired me.
If you’re starting out, remember: just begin. Your content doesn’t need to be perfect initially. Post regularly to find your voice and connect with your audience. Inspiration and improvement will come with experience.
Above all, be true to yourself and your mission. Your authenticity will resonate with your audience and help you build meaningful connections over time.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
One of the best ways I’ve grown my clientele is by focusing on a few key strategies that really connect with people. First off, word-of-mouth has been huge. When clients love the experience at Skin Rehab Beverly Hills, they often tell their friends and family, which brings in new clients who trust our services.
Having a strong online presence has also been vital. We make sure our social media is active with helpful tips, showing what we offer, and sharing stories from happy clients. It’s a great way to reach more people and show them what we’re all about.
Another impactful strategy has been collaborating with influencers. Working with influencers who align with our values and mission has allowed us to reach new audiences and build credibility. Their honest feedback attracts new clients who resonate with our approach to skincare and wellness.
