Dimitri, appreciate you joining us today. Is there a historical figure you look up to? Who are they and what lessons or values have you learned from them?
Dj Khaled one of the biggest of not the biggest. I Aspire to be like if not better than him. Collaborations , business deals etc.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started DJing back in 2018. I’ve always had a thing for Music. I just didn’t know where I was going to end up I used to do tapes in high school and I did mix tapes on CDs when I got in college I didn’t know it was a callin, but when I got out of college life hit me. All I ever wanted to do was make money to provide for my family and I found out Dj. It was probably one of the best easiest ways to make extra money and on top of that I was good I started throwing my own parties building up my résumé then I started my residency at a club, called The Barn. Working at the barn. I realize underground music was my route. That was my lane. I feel like I can use that attribute to help people get to the next level and their musical career.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I had to unlearn was that I can’t help everybody. They have to at least want to help themselves. It was hard, but helping people can only go so far, especially the people that can’t take guidance and direction.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I build my audience on social media by being consistent always taking pictures with people that matter and not only just taking pictures with them but actually having something to do with being at the location that we took the pictures it’s all about being relevant
