We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Diane Russo. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Diane below.
Alright, Diane thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
My artistic talent was hidden inside of me for most of my life. I wish I found art earlier in life.
Diane, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My landscape art portrays a simple thing like listening to water glide down the rocks of an old creek. Have you ever gone ice skating on a pond alone in winter and your world was a winter wonderland of pure white snow? Have you ever kicked off your shoes and ran into the ocean just to feel the calm of the water on your toes? Maybe you haven’t done these things and just want to someday. If so, than maybe one of my paintings will bring you to a place you have been or would like to be. You can be free in my paintings and imagine yourself anywhere.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Painting deceased people and pets is very emotional. It provides peace for families and is very rewarding.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Art is very healing and it helps people find peace. I would say that is my goal in life.
