Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diana Solorio. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Diana, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
I grew up in a family where women were still looked at as less than men. Fortunately my mom decided to break the mold and go after her dreams. Because I have witnessed how powerful it is to go after what you want, I always felt a strong calling to help and motivate women who are still afraid to make their move. I went through a very emotionally difficult time in my life which pushed me to work on my self, (self- love, self-worth etc..) during that time I was lucky enough to have an amazing support system of strong, smart, loving women that helped me get through it and come out stronger. I could not imagine women going through difficult times without that support. So that drove me to create La Tribu Poderosa which provides a platform for women to come together and help each other grow.
I felt that it was the right time to do it because I was a walking example of what growing in community looks like.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Diana Solorio and I decided to create “ La Tribu Poderosa” because I felt a strong calling to create a platform for women to be empowered and Motivated to go after their dreams. I have been lucky enough that throughout my career I have been put in leadership positions which allowed me to see how much a little motivation impacts the lives of others. Motivating others and helping them reach their full potential has been extremely fulfilling for me and I knew that’s what I wanted to do.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
I met Ana Laura Soto while working as a VP at a Law Firm. I always admired her kind spirit. determination and her way of always uplifting other women. I knew right away I wanted her on my team.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I am a perfectionist. I always want to do everything perfect. Sometimes that perfectionism has stopped Me from executing because I sometimes think that the outcome will not be perfect. I had to unlearn that.
Imperfect action is better than no action.
Nothing is going to be perfect. Specially the first time doing something. But sometimes imperfection is exactly what you need to learn valuable lessons and to lose to fear to execute.
