We were lucky to catch up with Diana Palm recently and have shared our conversation below.
Diana, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
There was an older woman so overcome by grief, that it prevented her from being able to function in her daily life. Three years had passed since losing her son, but her grief was so inconsolable, that mid way through grocery shopping, she would abandon her cart and return home with no food. Then one morning, she experienced an afterlife visit that changed her life.
In the woman’s dream, she held the swaddled baby tightly to her chest. Although her son died as a grown man, she knew that he was the baby in her arms. Just as she became aware of the baby, she felt a hand rest gently upon her shoulder, as she heard a familiar voice say, “Put the baby down dear, he needs his rest.” Immediately, she knew that the hand and voice belonged to her mother, who had died many years earlier. The woman wept, and refused to lay the baby down, clinging to his little body even tighter. Again, her mother urged her to put the baby down. This time, there was an even larger presence of spirit, who the woman felt was the rest of her deceased family.
Finally, with tears streaming from her eyes, she laid the baby down in his cradle, and she woke up. She cried and cried as she reflected upon what had happened. And as she moved throughout her day, she could still feel the heat from the baby’s body where she held him. This significant experience marked the end of her prolonged grief. She was able to shop again, and reconnected with friends to socialize.
That was over 30 years ago, and that woman was my grandma. This is what inspired me to create my #1 Spiritual Grief Healing Program RECONNECT.

Diana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I work with people who are experiencing grief from heartbreak and loss, and use my gifts for mediumship and healing, to help the bereaved reconnect with their loved ones in the afterlife.
As a professional medium with over 30 years of experience, I wanted to stand out among a sea of other mediums. This led me to a lifetime of exploration, taking me deep into every facet of the afterlife, most religions, and every known technique of after death communication.
Because of this, I have gained a unique and in depth perspective of the afterlife, furthering my ability to help the bereaved.
Even though I was born a medium, I had to learn how to use my spiritual gifts through many years of study, certifications, and travel. I lived in many haunted houses (some well publicized), and have over 19 years of paranormal experience; collecting proof of the afterlife, and clearing haunted properties. My expertise expanded through working in hospice, and providing spiritual healing for individuals and groups. I also help people gain an understanding for near death awareness and near death experience.
This is not just my passion, it’s my calling.
This incredible journey has allowed me to help countless people heal from loss, as well as teach students how to claim their spiritual gifts, and empower themselves by developing and mastering their mediumship (so they can help others heal).
I have multiple books that will expand your awareness about the afterlife and teach you how to work with the spirit world (Setting Spirits Free, Mediumship Scrying and Transfiguration for Beginners, The Love Book, Death and The Afterlife).
My specific goal is to shift the consciousness around death and loss, by helping survivors to live more fully, as they embrace their continued connection with loved ones in the afterlife.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Having an open heart and an open mind, are equally important to learning about the afterlife and developing mediumship.
One of my mentors said, “when you get nervous, be of service” and this has always stayed with me. There is no room for competition or ego when you are working with spirit.
When you keep an open heart, you will always be able to tune in and receive the connection that will provide healing for your client.
When you keep an open mind, you will be guided (like I was) to explore many new ways to amplify your abilities and serve.
For many mediums, this is a lifelong journey, so never stop being open.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
One of the most valuable attributes for growing a mediumship or healing business is integrity. There are a few things to remember: This is sacred work and every client deserves privacy & confidentiality. Don’t share personal information about your clients. Always remember to honor your own needs as you are serving others… this means that you protect your energy, clear your energy, and never give more than feels healthy and vital for you. It is easy to become depleted when working with spiritual energy, so give yourself extra care, nurturing, and the best spiritual training. Also, be sure to set your prices for the clientele you wish to serve, and do not under value yourself! When you are new, ask everyone for testimonials to help you grow your business…and yes, this is a business. If you do all this, word of mouth will be your best friend. If you plan to use social media for business growth…skip everything else and go straight to YouTube to start providing value.
