Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diana (Mishka) Merimskaia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Diana (Mishka), thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
I’ve always loved filming my makeup routines and sharing them with my friends and followers. I never imagined that my passion for makeup and skincare would actually turn into a way to earn money.
I still remember one of the very first videos I posted—it was a “no-makeup” makeup tutorial where I talked about my favorite products for achieving a natural look. About a week later, I received an email from a brand saying they loved my video and wanted to send me a PR package and collaborate.
That collaboration ended up being my first $250, and it felt surreal. After that, more opportunities started coming my way—some were gifted partnerships, and others were paid. But that’s how I started earning my first income by doing something I genuinely love.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’d love to share a bit about myself and my journey.
I’m a content creator and creative storyteller with a passion for beauty, wellness, and self-development. My work mainly focuses on sharing authentic experiences around skincare, makeup, mindful living, and the rituals that help us feel confident in our own skin.
My path into this industry started very organically. I’ve always been fascinated by beauty and self-care—what we put on our skin, how it makes us feel, and how it reflects our identity. In the beginning, I would film simple makeup routines and share product recommendations purely out of love for it. Over time, those videos began to resonate with more people who were looking for honest, relatable advice instead of unattainable perfection.
As my audience grew, brands began reaching out for collaborations, which allowed me to turn my passion into a full time job. Today, I create video tutorials, product reviews, lifestyle content, and brand partnerships across social media platforms.
The main problems I help solve for my community are simplifying beauty routines, making wellness feel accessible, and encouraging self-acceptance. Whether it’s showing how to achieve a natural “no-makeup” look, talking candidly about skin struggles, or sharing tips to build confidence, I try to create a space that feels inspiring and real.
What sets me apart is my focus on authenticity. I’m not interested in promoting products I don’t believe in or presenting a curated image that feels unrelatable. My audience trusts me to share what actually works, what I truly love, and what aligns with a balanced lifestyle.
I’m most proud of building a community of people who value honesty, curiosity, and growth. To me, it’s not just about beauty—it’s about feeling good in your own skin and celebrating the little rituals that help us show up as our best selves.
If there’s one thing I’d want potential clients, followers, and collaborators to know, it’s that I care deeply about the impact of my work. I’m here to inspire, educate, and connect in a way that feels genuine. Whether you’re looking for beauty tips, mindful living ideas, or just a reminder to be kinder to yourself..

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
At the heart of my creative journey is the mission to empower people to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin.
Whether I’m sharing beauty tips, wellness practices, or personal stories, my goal is to make self-care feel approachable, not overwhelming. I want to show that taking care of yourself doesn’t have to mean chasing unrealistic standards—it can be about finding what genuinely makes you feel good.
More broadly, I’m driven by a desire to create content that feels authentic, uplifting, and relatable. So much of what we see online is curated to perfection, and I think it’s important to balance that with honesty and vulnerability.
Ultimately, my mission is to inspire others to embrace their unique beauty, prioritize their wellbeing, and build confidence from the inside out.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the connection it builds with other people.
There’s something incredibly fulfilling about sharing something you’ve poured your heart into—whether it’s a video, a story, or a piece of advice—and seeing it resonate with someone else. When people tell me that my content made them feel more confident, inspired them to try something new, or simply brightened their day, it reminds me why I do this in the first place.
I also love the freedom that comes with creative work. The ability to express yourself, to experiment, and to keep evolving is a gift.
But above all, it’s the impact—big or small—that feels most meaningful. Knowing that what I create can help someone feel seen, understood, or empowered is the greatest reward.
