We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Diana Fuller a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Diana, thanks for joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
o I aimed to create a name that embodies our brand’s identity and stands out in a competitive marketplace. This is crucial for brand recognition and recall. Simplicity is powerful. A concise, memorable name can leave a lasting impression.
o Since our first product was luxe faux fur leg warmers, I explored descriptive words, typographies, colors, and layouts in Canva. This hands-on approach helped me connect with the product.
o I looked at it through the eyes oof a consumer and considered what resonated on an emotional level. This is as valuable POV as it ensures alignment with target audiences.
o Thinking ahead, I considered future products in the fashion and lifestyle space. A versatile name that works across different product categories was paramount.
o Visual Impact: I wanted the name to stand out visually on products, social handles, and shopping platforms. Consider how it looks in various contexts—logos, labels, and digital spaces.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My marketing and public relations background influenced my entrepreneurial journey. Launching the brand warmth alongside my sister Jennifer Martin enabled me to apply strategic thinking and brand-building expertise to a creative venture.
Warmth is a women-owned (and sister owned) business who knows how to have fun. Our mission is to blend fashion and function, creating luxurious accessories that provide both comfort and style. Inspired by the vibrant tapestry of our busy lives—whether we’re navigating bustling city streets or enjoying outdoor sports like golf, tennis, and pickleball—we’ve crafted a collection that embodies effortless elegance.
At the heart of our business lies a commitment to quality. We use the finest materials, all cruelty-free, to ensure our accessories are not only luxurious but also ethically sourced.
