We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Diana Follegati Pryor. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Diana below.
Diana , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
My journey began with a vision to share stories and create unforgettable experiences through dance. With a rich background in the arts and a passion for bringing ideas to life, I took deliberate steps to turn that vision into reality:
Identifying the Purpose: I recognized the transformative power of dance—not just as an art form, but as a way to connect people to emotions, culture, and each other.
Creating a Blueprint: I outlined exactly what I wanted my shows to represent—whether it was celebrating Peruvian heritage, empowering women, or showcasing diverse talents.
Building a Team: I surrounded myself with talented dancers, choreographers, and collaborators who shared my passion and brought fresh perspectives to enrich the performances.
Leveraging Networks: By connecting with the right people and organizations, I secured venues, funding, and marketing opportunities that allowed me to bring my shows to larger audiences.
Executing with Passion: I poured my heart into every detail—rehearsals, costumes, lighting design, and marketing—to ensure my shows reflected my vision and touched the audience deeply.
Iterating and Growing: After each show, I analyzed audience feedback, refined my approach, and found ways to elevate the experience, growing Fusion D Dance Shows and Entertainment into something dynamic and impactful.
Through dreaming big and taking practical, actionable steps, I’ve been able to bring these dreams to life. Fusion D Dance Shows and Entertainment is a testament to my creativity, determination, and passion for making meaningful connections through the arts.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi, I’m Diana Follegati, a passionate artist, dance director, and storyteller living in Orlando, FL. My journey in the arts has always been fueled by a love for creativity, culture, and connection. Through my work, I aim to inspire, empower, and celebrate individuality, especially through the transformative power of dance.
I founded Fusion D, a brand that embodies my mission to create spaces where women can reconnect with themselves, build confidence, and embrace their unique stories. Whether it’s through Fusion D Dance Boutique for Women, which offers a sanctuary for self-expression and growth, or Fusion D Dance Shows and Entertainment, where I bring vibrant cultural performances to life, my goal is always the same: to make people feel seen, inspired, and uplifted.
At the heart of what I do is a deep desire to celebrate diversity and empower others. I’m passionate about using dance to connect people to emotions, cultures, and each other, creating unforgettable experiences along the way. Every project I take on reflects my belief in the beauty of collaboration, creativity, and community.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe what has helped build my reputation within my market is my unwavering passion for empowering people and sharing my culture through dance and art. My dedication to creating spaces where dancers can reconnect with themselves, coupled with my commitment to producing authentic and meaningful projects like She is Peru, resonates deeply with my audience.
My ability to combine my Peruvian roots with my artistic vision allows me to craft experiences that are both personal and universally inspiring. Additionally, my consistent efforts—whether it’s through dance practices, choreography, or theater production—show my discipline and love for what I do. This authenticity naturally draws people in and helps establish trust and respect within my community.

Any advice for managing a team?
Lead with Purpose: Share your vision clearly and passionately. When the team understands the “why” behind the project, it motivates them to align their efforts with the bigger picture.
Encourage Collaboration: Foster an environment where ideas flow freely. Let everyone feel their voice matters, and their contributions are valued.
Provide Constructive Feedback: Be honest, but kind. Frame critiques as opportunities for growth, and balance them with recognition of their strengths.
Build Trust: Show empathy and understanding. If someone is struggling, offer support rather than criticism. Trust grows when the team knows you care about their well-being.
Lead by Example: Show your dedication by being disciplined and passionate. Your energy sets the tone for the entire team.
Prioritize Well-Being: Encourage self-care and create a work environment that respects boundaries and work-life balance.
Adaptability is Key: Be open to change and ready to adjust plans. A flexible leader inspires confidence during challenges.
Inspire Confidence: Remind your team of their talents and the impact of their contributions. High morale comes from knowing that what they’re doing matters.
