We recently connected with Diana Ekins and have shared our conversation below.
Diana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The Story Behind the Mission of Positiviseeds
Positiviseeds began as a simple idea between two moms, Diana Ekins and Lindsey Rowles, who shared a passion for personal growth and the power of visualization. Both had experienced firsthand the transformative impact of vision boards in their own lives. For years, they used these tools to stay focused on their goals, overcome challenges, and build the futures they dreamed of. However, their vision extended beyond individual success.
Diana and Lindsey often discussed the state of the world—the conflicts, the divisions, and the struggles that so many people face daily. They asked themselves a profound question: What if the power of manifestation could work on a global scale? What if, by harnessing collective energy and intention, people around the world could contribute to a movement toward unity and peace?
This thought sparked the mission behind Positiviseeds: to empower individuals not only to achieve their personal goals but also to contribute to a greater cause. Through their vision board coloring books, they aim to spread positivity, mindfulness, and intentionality. Each book is designed to help users visualize their own success while planting the seeds of a collective vision for global peace.
Diana and Lindsey believe that small, intentional actions can create ripples of change. By encouraging people to embrace the pause, reflect on their aspirations, and focus on positive outcomes, they hope to inspire a wave of mindfulness that extends far beyond individual lives. Positiviseeds is more than a brand; it’s a movement, a community of like-minded individuals who believe in the power of positive thinking and collective manifestation.
The story behind Positiviseeds is one of friendship, shared vision, and a deep desire to make the world a better place—one vision board at a time. Diana and Lindsey invite others to join them on this journey, to plant the seeds of positivity in their own lives, and to watch as those seeds grow into a global movement for peace and unity.
Diana, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Diana Ekins, and my journey as an entrepreneur began at just 15 when I started playing the saxophone professionally. This early start laid the foundation for my entrepreneurial spirit, leading me to own a jewelry store and work as a tv and music producer. My passion for creativity and business eventually guided me to found my own law firm, specializing in intellectual property, entertainment, and business law. This experience gave me a unique perspective on the intersection of creativity and entrepreneurship, which I bring to every venture I undertake.
Today, I’m the co-founder of Positiviseeds, a brand that empowers individuals to visualize and achieve their goals through our innovative vision board coloring books. We’ve combined the calming practice of coloring with the powerful tool of vision boards to create products that inspire intentional living and goal-setting. Our mission is to not only help individuals manifest their dreams but also to contribute to a global movement toward peace and unity.
What sets Positiviseeds apart is our dedication to fostering both personal and collective growth. We believe that by focusing on visualization and mindful intention, people can create ripples of positive change that extend far beyond their own lives.
I’m incredibly proud of the impact Positiviseeds is having on our community and beyond. Seeing how our products help people make real, positive changes in their lives is deeply rewarding. We want our followers and potential clients to know that Positiviseeds is more than just a brand—it’s a movement. We’re here to support you on your journey to success, and we invite you to join us in planting the seeds of positivity in your own life and in the world around you.
Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner of visualization or just beginning your journey, Positiviseeds offers a creative, mindful, and purposeful way to connect with your goals and dreams.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
Lindsey and I met at an awards event in Reno, where we were both working in marketing. From the moment we connected, we realized we had a lot in common—not just professionally but also in our values and vision for the future. Our friendship developed quickly, and it wasn’t long before we started exploring ways we could collaborate.
Our shared passion for creativity, community, and helping others manifest their goals led us to co-found Positiviseeds. We both believed in the power of visualization, and combining that with the calming practice of coloring seemed like the perfect way to empower people to take intentional steps toward their dreams. Starting Positiviseeds together felt like a natural extension of our friendship and professional synergy, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey ever since.
We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
We sell our products both on Amazon and our own website. Amazon offers significant advantages, particularly in terms of traffic. Because Amazon is such a widely used platform, it allows us to reach a broad audience without the need for heavy investment in marketing or driving traffic to our own site. This means we can focus more on product development and customer service, knowing that a large part of the sales process is managed by Amazon.
However, there are some trade-offs. Selling on Amazon means we have less control over the customer experience compared to selling directly on our website. We miss out on opportunities to build stronger relationships with our customers and to gather detailed data that could help us better understand their needs. Additionally, there are fees associated with using Amazon’s platform, which can impact our profit margins.
On the other hand, our website allows us to create a more personalized shopping experience. We have full control over the branding, customer interaction, and the overall journey our customers take from browsing to purchasing. This direct connection is invaluable for building long-term relationships and fostering brand loyalty. It also gives us the flexibility to offer exclusive products, promotions, and content that wouldn’t be as easily managed through a third-party platform.
Overall, using both Amazon and our website provides us with a balanced approach. We benefit from Amazon’s vast reach and infrastructure while still maintaining a space where we can engage directly with our most dedicated customers.
