Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Care.
Hi Diana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Being born and raised in Las Vegas I was always in a swimming pool as a child. I started competitive synchronized swimming at age 11 and the same year got into acting. After I gradusting high school I trained with the Santa Clara Aquamaids for 2 years before attending Ohio State. I did synchronized swimming at Ohio State for 3 years and majored in theater. We won NCAA’s my junior year! After I graduated college I moved to LA and pursued a career in entertainment. I was fortunate to work as a professional synchronized swimmer and actress doing live shows, music videos, commercials and films! In 2017 I wanted to create my own type of style and add my own personal flair to the art of synchronized swimming. This is when I moved back home to Las Vegas and started Wet Swim Show. I wanted produce aquatic shows that no one had ever seen before like swimming to Hip Hop and EDM. I wanted to use props and break the typical old Hollywood stereotype of synchronized swimming. I produced a video with my vision and started reaching out to clients. Eventually it grew and people started recognizing my style and started booking my company for events!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It certainly has been a challenge at times! People don’t even always know what synchronized swimming is and don’t think it’s a real service. But it is fantastic at events and leaves a memorable and lasting impression. When I reach out to different venues and clients I have to convince them that my product is unique. No one has ever produced it with the modern style I have and people always think of it as the Old Hollywood. Once I show them the sizzle reel and more visual aids then they start to understand. People don’t always think it will be entertaining at event but once they see what we can do in person then they are impressed!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a producer of aquatic shows that highlight the performance art of synchronized swimming. I produce shows for corporate events, weddings, private parties, kids parties, commercials, marketing events and much more! I am known for providing the most entertaining form of aquatic entertainment and personalizing each event to the clients desires. I am most proud of my choreography and my talent who is open minded and hard working. The swimmers who work for me are everything because they are my vision brought to life. What sets me apart from others is the creativity I bring to the pool. I ‘m always trying to see how much of a stage the water can be.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We do all types of events by the pool! We’re available for parties large and small. Most of our shows are private or corporate buyouts so I would love to find a way to produce a residency for the public! Many people want to see our shows but are unable to because it’s not open to them. I would also love to collaborate with more locations on social media like hotels and public pools!
