We recently connected with Diana Campo and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Diana, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?

When I did my Master Degree in Marketing years ago, I didn’t know things were going to change a lot. Nowadays Social Media ia everything specially marketing. I manage not only my social media but others, because people don’t have enough time to take care of it. I started with two brands and a fashion blogger, I love what I do that is why every time I take an account I treat it like it’s my brand. People who know how to handle Social Media should take advantage from those who don’t have time to publish anything. I started one day as a hobby, Then because I kept it doing because it was fun, Now it is a real job for me, So I need to be responsable, creative, and be very active on social media.

Diana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name Is Diana, I’m a Digital Marketer and Business Owner. I’m a Latina who moved here 6 years ago. Back in my Country ( Colombia) I started Business Administration and I have a Mater Degree In Marketing. When I moved to this county I didn’t know what to do exactly., because obviously I wanted to do what I like. So, I started blogging, I was a Fashion/food/ motivational Blogger, I love writing and I started to go to every event in town and tell my stories. Then I started selling Colombia clothing at my store “DCSHOPSTORE” I liked a lot because I love Fashion. I finished blogging because I got pregnant and I didn’t have too much time to go to the events, so I finished blogging. I kept my boutique and I was doing good with but one day a friend called me and said I needed to come back in social media, because I am very talented. So she offered me to manage her business social media and I said yes, Then another brand asked me to do their content and I said yes, so that is how ai started like Digital Marketer

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of being creative of what I do it’s that I can have fun every day of my life. I’m always thinking about new content, new pictures, new experiences. I can work from home or at the beach, it depends of what scenery I need to use.

How did you build your audience on social media?

It is hard to built your audience on Social media but my advice is to perseverance, It is not easy, it takes time. So in that case you need to be committed to yourself, be active every day on social media with great content and creative ideas. Innovation is the key.
