I’m Diamond Young, the CEO of Diamond Unlimited, a consulting company for content creators and aspiring podcasters. I have had the pleasure of serving as a digital marketing consultant and helping business owners, content creators, and aspiring podcasters develop their brands confidently.
As the founder of this company, I am proud to have built a brand that specializes in various areas of content creation, including content workshops and trainings, podcast coaching, and content confidence coaching. What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Yes, my side hustle did turn into my main business. Prior to running my own business, I was working at Twitter as a Learning & Development specialist for three years. During that time, I started to build my digital marketing business on the side, honing my skills and building my client base in my spare time. I was passionate about helping businesses grow through digital marketing and knew that this was something I wanted to pursue full-time eventually.
After three years at Twitter, I was unfortunately laid off due to budget cuts. While this was a difficult experience, it also presented an opportunity for me to take my business to the next level. I had been building my business on the side for a while, so I was able to transition into running it full-time without missing a beat. This was a challenging but rewarding experience, and it allowed me to truly focus on growing my business and serving my clients.
One of the keys to my success was my willingness to continuously learn and grow. I made a point to stay up-to-date on the latest digital marketing trends and strategies, and I invested in my own education and development. I also worked hard to build strong relationships with my clients, and I always made it a priority to provide excellent customer service and deliver results.
As my business grew, I was able to hire additional team members to help me manage the workload. This allowed me to take on more clients and expand my service offerings. Today, my business is thriving, and I’m grateful for the journey that brought me to where I am today.
Overall, the transition from a side hustle to a full-time business was a challenging but rewarding experience. I was able to leverage my skills, experience, and passion for digital marketing to build a successful business that allows me to help others achieve their goals.
