Hi Diamond, thanks for joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
Since the inception of The Juice Boxx, my mission has always been to surpass mere transactional interactions and provide unparalleled support to each of my customers. While The Juice Boxx primarily offers feminine care and male hygiene products, I’ve been fortunate to extend my reach beyond mere sales. I’ve made it a priority to educate my customers on women’s health issues, offering insights on hormone balance and providing tools for managing a healthy menstrual cycle. Additionally, I’ve offered guidance to those dealing with conditions like PCOS and endometriosis, helping them navigate their health journey. Ensuring customer satisfaction is paramount to me, whether it’s promptly resolving shipping or ordering issues or maintaining open lines of communication. It’s immensely rewarding to witness the gratitude of my customers, knowing that I’ve made a positive impact beyond just their purchases.

My name is Diamond Vines, a proud HBCU graduate from Dillard University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a focus on Community Health Education. Building on this foundation, I pursued a Master’s in Public Health with a specialization in Health Promotion. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working across various sectors of public health, including Maternal and Child health, family planning, and HIV and STD control, both within government agencies and non-profit organizations
During my work in maternal and child health and STD control, I came across a prevalent issue within the community that I believed required attention, highlighting a significant disparity. The topic of women’s feminine care is often treated delicately in public health due to language barriers, educational gaps, and intimidating portrayal in the market. I aspired to establish a brand that promotes open dialogue and offers a safe environment for women and men to access not only high-quality hygiene products but also comprehensive education on self-care and well-being.
I take great pride in the positive impact The Juice Boxx has had on our community. Our products, coupled with additional services such as educational resources, hosted webinars, and personalized conversations via DM or email, have significantly improved the overall feminine health of many customers. It’s not just about the exceptional products; our customers also value the life-changing information we provide. I am proud that my years of education have found purpose in serving communities, promoting better health and wellness for both women and men. While some of the topics we address may be uncomfortable for some, we are dedicated to breaking barriers and bridging gaps within our communities.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
When I launched The Juice Boxx, it began as a side hustle alongside my government job. Feeling overwhelmed and unhappy with the stress from my employer, I prayed daily for a solution that would change my life. That’s when the idea for The Juice Boxx came to me, offering a free space and outlet from my job’s demands. Starting with just 100 bottles of our original feminine care wash, the business quickly gained traction as positive reviews flooded social media. Within the first year, I reached six figures in revenue, affirming to me that my business was guided by God. Transitioning to a full-time entrepreneur took time and courage, as I grappled with concerns about benefits, failure, and security. Speaking with fellow entrepreneurs, I learned that owning a business is a daily faith walk, but with hard work and prayer, things fall into place. Taking that leap of faith was daunting, but since then, business has flourished. While there are inevitably challenging days, I remind myself of the purpose behind starting and the prayers I’ve prayed. By dedicating daily time and effort, treating my business with the same commitment as a 9-5 job, giving myself grace, and seeking help when needed, I’ve continued to navigate the journey of entrepreneurship with resilience and determination.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
My most effective strategy for growing clientele was by providing education on feminine and male hygiene, wellness, and health. This education empowered customers to feel more confident in the brand. The tips and information shared with customers have positively impacted many lives, enabling them to feel confident and comfortable with their feminine and male wellness. This educational approach seamlessly complemented the products offered by The Juice Boxx, instilling trust and faith in the brand.
