Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diamond Elyse. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Diamond, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on so far was my first project, ‘1997.’ It was my introduction as a music artist. Most of the songs I’d written years prior to releasing it and they are so special to me. ‘Better With You (Naked)’ was the first song of mine that I performed when I was in high school. Seeing how everyone loved the song made me even more confident with releasing original music. I’m so proud of how it all came together.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I’ve always wanted to be a singer since a very young age. Writing has been a passion of mine for a long time as well. In addition to that, I was born in a musical family so music has always been a part of me. In high school is where I was classically trained and where I started putting on my own performances. That’s where I really fell in love with performing.
Ever since then, I never stopped perfecting my craft. I’m always staying on top of my training and I think that’s one of the special and strongest things that sets me apart from others.
I’m most proud of how my projects have come together and the quality of my music, I’m very intentional and hands-on with everything so it’s makes me happy seeing my visions come to life.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being creative?
Seeing people positively respond to my music and reach out sharing how much they love it. Also, when people know my lyrics as they sing along. That feels so amazing.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
The smallest things matter when it comes to supporting artists and creatives. Sharing/reposting and comments can go further than you think. It can put the artist in front of a potential new supporter/fan. Also, for the local artists you’d like to support, if you can… show up to the events they’re involved in, buy a ticket to their show… that helps so much.
However, I think it would help most if society didn’t always start supporting because it’s popular to support that person. The support a new artist/creative needs is so necessary when they are starting out.
