We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Diamond Brown a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Diamond, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
It has always been my greatest desire to show the beautiful world God created through the lens of the camera. The Holy Spirit leads and guides me when I take photos and He is my greatest inspiration.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I love people. I have a heart to serve and show others what true love is. So through my work I embrace art in it’s most authentic form to show others to be exactly who they were born to be. Through Ministry I capture art through photography, paint and illustration.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn is comparing my work to others. Everyone is an artist no matter what stage of their journey they are in.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
No, I have learned what I’ve learned for such a time as this.
