Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diamond Aminyti. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Diamond, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you walk us through some of the key steps that allowed you move beyond an idea and actually launch?
As a creative I create so many ideas in my mind so it’s important to write things down that I want to execute. Following the business plan and keeping faith in God helped my dreams come to life. To start any business you must figure out your audience, find your signature, and how you can solve their problems. Entrepreneurial is trial and error, you’ll learn as you grow and my individual challenges helped me become the hair boss I am today.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a hairstylist/salon owner mainly known for my custom glueless wigs and natural weave installations. I’ve been a client longer than stylist so I understand and value the customer experience and I have the professional knowledge now to give the next woman luxurious hair for everyday wear while providing natural hair care. I want my future clients to know that I am passionate about your hair and it’s goal to make your dream hair come to life

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I prioritize client relationships and understanding my girls wants. Our hair can be a reflection of our confidence, it’s important to get to know her to enhance that. After an install, I check in with my girls at least monthly to see how they’re doing, what they need help with, and if they’d like to come into the salon. I provide everything for my girls; bundles, wigs, hair care, maintenance, etc so it’s convenient for them and this is how I effortlessly gain retaining clientele

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
I think one of the hardest things for people to understand is that being a creative or entrepreneur isn’t as easy as it seems. You must have persistence. You might go months without a breakthrough, and sometimes you create things that don’t resonate with anyone but yourself. It’s not immediate success either. There’s a lot of self-doubt, rejections, and failures that most people don’t see. But those moments when your work finally connects with someone maker it all worth it.
