Alright, Dexter thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Our mission at our firm is to love and value people. I dont just see my client as a commission check. Im a not happy until my client is happy.

Dexter, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Dexter Gatlin. Im Co Owner of 1st Class Real Estate Mid-Atlantic. My journey in the industry started in 2016. I had a job at a mortgage company as disclosure coordinator. I was making good money and loved my job. Well soon there were layoffs in August of 2018. So now im like I love real estate in what capacity can I help me people. So my pastor invited me to a Exp realty meeting. I walked away excited and ready to get my license. So I took the course test and passed. I took the PSI (Real Estate Exam) and failed. I tried again and failed . I took a break then tried again before covid. Once again I failed but I was determined to get into real estate some how. In 2022 I sold my house and had some funds to side for investing. I was presented to an opportunity to buy into a 1st class franchise. So now im an owner but I was still interested in get my license to be an agent. I got my license in 2023. I help clients buy ,sell and invest. I make sure do everything I can to make buying or selling a home stress free for my client. If a client has questions I answer them in a timely manner. I run my business as a ministry. So even if I have clients who just need an ear, im available.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Social media marketing has really help me grow my clientele. I post daily on fb, Instagram, LinkedIn etc. I use alot real estate memes and people respond. Sometimes they need the services or they have someone they know.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Social media content and former co-workers are sending me new clients.
