Dex, appreciate you joining us today. Any thoughts around creating more inclusive workplaces?
Well first I wanna thank you for having me. I’m grateful to have this opportunity in having this interview and for everyone reading ur appreciated. But too answer these questions, My best advice to create a better more inclusive workspace is too know exactly what u want, know that the things that u invest in will be beneficial too u in the future, never forget about that creative spirit within! For my workspace/setup its very simple nothing too expensive but everything is just right too me , its no need too spend all this money specific things when u can work with what u got until you know the time has came where u can actually go big in investing. The total of my recording setup for music is 250 dollars,My laptop was the most expensive thing totaling at 180 dollars,. This is important too me and very impactful too other people because its alot of individuals that think u need all the money in the world too be successful and reality u can make anything work just know how too build urself up too accomplish ur goal.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well my name is Deshawn actually lol, I was born in this small town called Carrollton maybe an hour and some change away from the city. I moved around so much as a kid being more raised in Atlanta more than where I was actually born, being in the country and then I’m in the city and the cycle repeated but too sum this up in words I never really had a stable home at all actually parents getting separated at a young age, having too live with my grandma, mom and dad not on the same accord etc etc!! No need to express my whole childhood cuz i’ll be telling a book. But One thing forsure about me. I’m a very dedicated person too my craft, I love what I do, Ima Family person too U gotta love the family that u have and also I been into music since Elementary school always been writing in my lil notebook rapping on the back of the bus nd shi. I started taking music seriously my senior year in Highschool and the shi might sound crazy but my school had a studio in the Library so me nd Mr. K took advantage of the opportunity we had and went from there.I’m also very proud of how far me and my brothers and sisters came we’re a package deal every show every event every thing we do we gotta give it our all and you’ll eventually see!!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
