We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Devin Stone a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Devin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
A defining moment in my life was when I realized I needed to follow my true purpose in life. In my twenties I co-founded a medical practice in Hollywood that became very successful. However, even with the success I was always missing something within myself and that was because at the time I was just working on the business side in medicine and not following my dream of becoming a doctor. Today, now with my doctorate and license I feel more whole than ever being able to directly impact people’s health and lives.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In 2011, I graduated UC Riverside with a degree in medical biology and my world in health began. At this time, I started a well-known integrative medicine clinic in Hollywood, CA. Here, I have had the opportunity to work with many athletes, celebrities, and many overall amazing people. During this time, I furthered my education by pursuing a masters level education in Regenerative Medicine from University Utrecht, Netherlands. Later I went on to obtain other certificates in fields such as nutrition, cancer biology, alternative medicine, drugless medicine, and more.
After working in Hollywood for almost a decade and helping thousands of patients in our clinics I decided I needed to take my professional development one step further. I decided to go back to medical school and study to become a naturopathic doctor. In 2022 I have now completed my degree and will be expanding my care to more patients. With trainings in natural based and conventional treatments it has allowed me to provide root cause level care to my patients at Tulsi Wellness Club.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Definitely, I truly find my purpose in life is to help as many people obtain true wellness: mind, body and soul. Over the years I have promoted a tag line “promoting healthcare not sick care”. On my social profiles, daily life and with my patients I try to help show other aspects of health and for individuals to blossom into the best version of themselves.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think just being authentic has really helped. On my social profiles I share a lot of information about health and wellness but also show who and what I am doing as a person. I think it’s important to now only share vital health information but also putting a face and persona that someone can relate to behind it.
