The mission behind your business is to provide people with opportunities to achieve success through hard work and perseverance, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances. Having faced personal challenges such as growing up with a father battling addiction and a sister with brain cancer, you understand the value of determination and resilience. Your own experiences have driven you to build a business that empowers others to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals, and you have done so by embodying the same relentless spirit that has brought you success. Through your business, you aim to provide others with the tools and resources they need to pursue their passions and reach their full potential.

I am the CEO of Kennected and am passionate about giving entrepreneurs the tools they need to optimize opportunities and build their empires. Kennected, Inc. is in the business of helping entrepreneurs grow brands and build their customer base. Kennected Inc. is a software company that provides an automation tool designed to help businesses and professionals generate leads and build relationships on various business platforms. The software uses advanced algorithms to automate the process of finding and connecting with potential clients or customers on platforms like LinkedIn and other online tools allowing users to focus on building relationships and closing deals. With Kennected, users can easily send personalized connection requests, follow-up messages, and appointment scheduling messages to targeted prospects. The company has a team of experienced marketers and developers who work closely with customers to provide ongoing support and ensure the software is optimized for their specific business needs. Kennected has gained a reputation for its innovative technology and its ability to help businesses of all sizes increase their sales and revenue through effective lead generation and relationship-building strategies online.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I had a tough start in life. I was born to a father addicted to drugs and a mother caring for a sister with brain cancer, I faced numerous challenges from a young age. Despite these difficult circumstances, I was determined to rise above their circumstances and build a better life for myself and my family.
Growing up, I quickly learned the value of hard work and perseverance. I spent long hours working odd jobs to help support their family, all while striving to do well in school and pursue their dreams of entrepreneurship. Although the road was often rocky, I remained committed to my goals, never losing sight of the vision I had for my future.
After completing my education,I set out to build a business that would embody the values of resilience and determination. Drawing on my own experiences of overcoming adversity, I started off by selling sneakers and I caught the entrepreneurial bug–and I never looked back.
Over time, my dream became actualized and the tech company I started with Cody Harvey, Kennected, began to gain traction, thanks to our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Today, Kennected is a shining example of resilience and commitment to helping others. Thanks to my vision, the belief of those I surrounded myself with, and a steadfast commitment to excellence Kennected was bornI hope to serve as an inspiration to others, proving that with hard work, perseverance, and a never-give-up attitude, anything is possible.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
As the CEO of a growing tech company in the Midwest, I was constantly learning new things and adapting to the ever-changing landscape of the industry. However, there was one lesson that I had to unlearn the hard way.
For years, I had operated under the assumption that success in business was all about being tough, aggressive, and uncompromising. I believed that to make it in the cut-throat world of tech, I needed to be ruthless in my pursuit of growth and profitability. I made decisions based solely on the bottom line, and I was willing to do whatever it took to win.
But over time, I began to realize that this approach was not sustainable, nor was it aligned with my values as a leader. I saw the toll that my relentless drive for success was taking on my team, and I realized that it was not the kind of company culture that I wanted to cultivate.
It wasn’t until I faced a major crisis that I truly understood the flaws in my approach. Suddenly, our timeline was thrown into chaos, and it seemed like everything was falling apart.
In the face of this setback, I was tempted to revert to my old ways. I wanted to push harder, to demand more from my team, and to make things happen no matter what the cost. But as I looked around at my team, I realized that this was not the kind of leader I wanted to be.
Instead, I took a step back and focused on supporting my team through this difficult time. We shifted our priorities and reworked our timeline, taking the time to ensure that our mission was unified. I understood the power of servant leadership at this time.
As a result of this experience, I realized that success in business is not just about the bottom line. It’s about building a team that is invested in the company’s mission and values, and creating a culture that fosters growth and collaboration. I had to unlearn the lesson that being ruthless and uncompromising was the only way to succeed, and instead embrace a more human-centered approach to leadership.
Since then, my company has continued to grow and thrive, and I am proud to lead a team that is passionate, innovative, and committed to making a positive impact on the world.
