We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Deven Gibson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Deven thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

Back in 2021 I was just getting familiar with it I had a lot of family that was connected with the music industry but I wasn’t rlly interested til my family from my city Carl Gleezy introduced me with it learning the craft and Shii like that but Bando child bring me to his shows that’s a childhood friend I knew growing up together in school he make music as well from my city then two both told me I should take it all in after the fact one of my other homies Tre told me to go get in the yo and try it out and that’s when I did take it all in 2022 I started dropping my 1st videos and songs on all platforms from then on out 🤞🏾

I want my followers to know I appreciate all their support for who rlly be supporting me frl it means a lot they is what keeps me going with it more then ever I came from nothing but just knowing to grind it out from the bottom up with no help on the side every video and song I made came from just me investing in myself believing it will get me and my family out of struggling more takes a lot of discipline budgeting the right ways to make more money without losing profit while tryna make a dream happen over time putting faith in it all with actions putting God 1st

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

I’m rlly tryna grind with this Shii til I make it on top to be rich as I ever can be to support and provide for me and my family

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

Everyone ain’t gonna support your dream or believe in you to make it happen froma. Small town with large dreams of your own vision you see in yourself and everyone ain’t your friend especially in this type of business
