We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Devares&shenika Roberts a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Devares&Shenika, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
This is a faith-based film production company specializing in creating inspiring and impactful content. We offer a comprehensive range of services including narrative films, television shows, short films, feature films, commercials, music videos and more. Our mission is to entertain, educate, and uplift audiences through storytelling that reflects Christian values.
At the heart of Good Fruit Films is a commitment to spreading positivity and inspiration. Their mission is to create content that not only entertains but also challenges and encourages. As Philippians 4:8 reminds us, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Devares and Shenika Roberts, we are the husband and wife team behind Good Fruit Films, we have always had a passion for storytelling. Our journey began with us as we wrote and produced church skits, and plays, focussed in the ministry of the arts. next we got into into stage plays, where we developed a passion in filmmaking. Our goal is to create inspiring faith based content that uplifts and challenges audiences, leaving a with tough provoking content, our ultimate goal is to share Christ.
As filmmakers, we pour our hearts and time into every project , allowing us to create immersive experiences that resonate on a personal level. Through our films, we aim to spread a message of faith and inspire viewers to embrace their faith, pursue God through Jesus, and make a difference in the world. we currently have our own Production company were we look to advance God’s message, and walk in our purpose, as Believers.

Good Fruit Films is about more than just making movies. We’re using film as a powerful tool for positive change. We believe that faith-based content should be both entertaining and meaningful. We specialize in a wide range of projects, from short films and documentaries to feature-length dramas and TV shows. Our work includes powerful stories like “5 Star Rating” and “Outside the Box,” thought-provoking dramas like “Black Card” and “Prevail,” and entertaining TV projects like “Love at First Swipe.”
We’re most proud of our commitment to quality. We believe that faith-based content should meet the same high standards as any other major production company. That’s why we strive to create films that are both inspiring and entertaining.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative often lies in the ability to connect deeply with others through storytelling. As a filmmaker, your work has the power to evoke emotion, spark reflection, and inspire change. For someone of faith, it can also serve as a profound means to express your beliefs, values, and the beauty of the human spirit, offering viewers a glimpse of deeper truths and hope.
