We recently connected with Devamsh Manoj and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Devamsh, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career
If I could change one thing about the education system, it would be to focus more on practical skills and repetition-based learning instead of just theoretical knowledge. From my own experience, especially with the CBSE syllabus, I noticed how much easier it was to excel when I consistently practiced and recalled concepts. That’s why I’m so passionate about projects like Scholarix, where the goal is to help students succeed by leveraging repetition and recall techniques.
A story that sticks with me is when I was trying to learn programming as a teenager. Most of the resources out there were either too theoretical or assumed you already knew the basics. I had to learn by doing—building small projects, making mistakes, and going back to refine what I knew. That hands-on experience is what gave me the confidence to start freelancing at a young age and eventually land a full-time job as a software developer at 18.
I think if schools taught in a way that emphasized understanding through repetition and applying concepts in real-life scenarios, students would feel more prepared for their careers and life in general. It’s not about memorizing answers—it’s about building confidence and skills that you can actually use.
Devamsh, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi, I’m Dev, and I’m a software engineer and entrepreneur who got into tech pretty early. I started freelancing when I was just 16, taking on projects in web and mobile development. By 18, I landed a full-time developer role, which was an amazing opportunity to grow professionally. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills as a generalist, capable of taking a project from an idea all the way to deployment on the cloud.
Right now, I’m focusing on two main areas: cybersecurity with Webdyno Security, and improving education through Scholarix. With Webdyno Security, we help businesses secure their digital assets by providing clear, actionable steps and full-service protection. For Scholarix, I’m building tools to help CBSE students excel by making learning more effective and engaging through repetition and recall strategies.
The problems I solve for my clients are practical and impactful—whether it’s improving lead generation through refreshed content, protecting their websites from cyberattacks, or helping students learn smarter, not harder. What sets me apart is that I really enjoy simplifying complex problems and turning them into solutions that make life easier for people.
One thing I’m especially proud of is building a reputation as someone who’s reliable and resourceful despite my young age. Starting so early in tech and business has taught me how to adapt and think outside the box. For anyone considering working with me or my brands, I’d say: I’m here to help you get results. Whether it’s through innovative tools, better security, or creating something from scratch, my goal is to make sure you succeed.
