Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Deus Mugisa. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Deus, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
That was 2015 when I met these two amazing painters, who made me realise how worthy Visual art is. Looking at their work clarified my Vision
Deus, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
All I remember growing up I was passionate about art doing it for fun not knowing that it would end up as a career path for me. Until I met one great painter in 2015 who made it realistic for me as an artist and recommended me to the school where he studied art from.
I paint and draw personal and commissioned portraits inspired by personal feelings or sometimes clients feelings, and sometimes the work I do can just be instinctive .
I recycle wood en metal into functional furniture and give give the so called useless waste a nice look and safe places to be.
My creative skills also allow me use clothes as a medium to share my heritage and culture to rest of the world.
What sets me apart from others is creativity and versatility
I’m proud being blessed with the gift of being a creative entrepreneur.
I would love my followers to know me as a creative visual artist founder of Muka_store (painter, drawing artist, recycler, customising clothes and an educator as well)
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, Being raised in a community where art is looked at as an outcast compared to other careers the goal is to lay a better foundation for the upcoming generational artists
