Leaving my hometown Minnesota was not an easy decision, but the allure of pursuing my dreams was too strong to resist—even in the midst of a global pandemic.

The idea of starting my own small business had always been a passion, particularly in the realm of beauty.

I wasn’t sure on how I was going to do it, but I had a vision of establishing a brow business that would bring personalized and expert eyebrow services to the community of Los Angeles.

Ironically, during my early teenage years, I harbored a disdain for my own eyebrows. Little did I know that this self-consciousness would become the catalyst for my journey into the world of brows

Transforming from someone who once disliked their own eyebrows, I became intrigued by the artistry and transformative power that a well-shaped brow could bring.

It was this very irony that fueled my desire to master the craft of brow artistry. I envisioned creating a business that not only offered brow services but also catered to individuals like my younger self, helping them embrace and enhance their natural beauty.

Little did I know that this leap of faith during the pandemic would mark the beginning of a transformative chapter in my life, where challenges and uncertainties would be met with resilience and determination, all in pursuit of creating a successful brow business.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a brow artist lies in the transformational impact on my clients. Witnessing the boost in their confidence, the joy on their faces as they see their enhanced brows, and knowing that I’ve played a part in making them feel beautiful and empowered is incredibly gratifying. It’s not just about perfecting brows; it’s about fostering self-confidence and helping individuals embrace their unique beauty, making each day at work immensely fulfilling.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

I want to say the balance between both books “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert T. Kiyosaki and “Happy Pocket Full of Money” by David Cameron Gikandi played a pivotal role in shaping my entrepreneurial journey in opening a brow business. “Rich Dad Poor Dad” is influential for entrepreneurs as it challenges conventional thinking about money and wealth. Whereas “Happy Pocket Full of Money” is a book that explores the metaphysical and spiritual aspects of wealth creation and personal prosperity. The book emphasizes the importance of a positive mindset and how our thoughts and beliefs shape our reality. Both books are a must read for all entrepreneurs!
