We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Destiny Momodu a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Destiny , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I’ve always known I’m an artist I’ve always felt the need to create naturally so honestly knowing when I wanted to pursue it professionally would be extremely hard to answer cause being an artist has always followed me I’d incorporate it in my everyday life without the need of anything in return with out the need of others seeing it or giving opinions so I more so decided to let the career choose it self cause it was always going to be doing something dealing with art that’s the inevitable in my world. It’s in you not on you.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve always been an artist that’s my job ,my passion , my hobby etc, but the industry I’m currently in is tattooing and clothing design. Tattooing and clothing design has definitely showed me that I need more discipline in my life at some point as your business grow you’ll need to get more sleep and eat better just becoming an entrepreneur all together has showed me health plays a huge part in your performance when stenciling, staying up hours on end, sitting in one chair, having patience with clients, juicing your mind of creativity to at least get a doodle on the sketch page, maintaining discipline to not turn to different vices that you think may exude your creativity the list goes on…
The problems my clients usually have is typically nothing major maybe creative blocks when they can’t necessarily come up with tattoo ideas so then that opens conversation for the artist and client to get to know each-other and brain storm on cool ideas that would keep the client satisfied and me stimulated.
What sets me apart the most is my thumbs up to freedom creative freedom especially and i say that to say it’s no limits or I feel like it’s nothing that “can’t” be done. I see myself as the definition of “inevitable” sometimes even a moving a train, the unstoppable, so I feel like my clients should see themselves in the same light, so I hardly ever say no to a crazy idea or to and substantial amount of color I’m here to work magic and yes, it gets that deep.
I’m extremely proud of myself for never loosing sight of being and artist & also staying down for two years now in tattooing it’s had its trial and error but I’m very thankful I never went a week without being able to pay my booth rent and other bills and still live as I see fit. So I thanthank, thank, her power to the absolute fullest
What I’d wish people to know is my brand is built off individuality, rebellion , and freedom know that this is only the beginning. I plan to grow more and more everyday and you’ll soon see my products everywhere
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Take art more seriously, artistry is put into absolutely everything yet still people pretend as if it’s just as simple as pencil and paper and creating a pretty picture

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
Lol so funny cause I still don’t understand it I’ve tried it just for the financial gain I thought I would get out of kudos to the ones that have cracked the code … help please lol
