Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs when you least expect it. For me, as a store manager at a popular sports store, the closure of my workplace wasn’t just a setback—it was a devastating blow that left me questioning my future and purpose. But as the dust settled and the reality of unemployment sank in, I made a decision: I wouldn’t let this defeat define me.
As a store manager, I had poured my heart into my sports store, building a loyal customer base and fostering a sense of community among her staff. So when news broke that the store would be closing its doors for good, I felt like I had lost more than just a job—I had lost a part of my family. But I refused to be defeated. Instead, I saw an opportunity for growth and transformation.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The retail landscape has undergone seismic shifts in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, challenging traditional brick-and-mortar stores to adapt or risk extinction.
