Destiny, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you take vacations? Why or why not?

I am an advocate for vacations, whether its a week or just a weekend getaway. I believe that it’s important to unplug and refuel. If you burn yourself out, you jeopardize your ability to fully show up 100%. As a service provider, it is imperative that I make time for myself as well. Vacations are also a great opportunity to network and spread your brand.

Hello, my name is Destiny Campbell. I am absolutely elated to share some of my journey with you. I hope that my story encourages you. I am 24 years old and located in Memphis, TN. I am the founder of one non-profit organization: Real Talk with Des as well as Life of Divine Beauty. I am also in the medical field serving as a 4 year certified pharmacy technician.

I have worn many different hats and I honestly can say I enjoy them all. Being apart of the beauty industry is a blessing. It is constantly and consistently evolving with time which makes it exciting. New trends and styles change often, so I always get to do new things. I enjoy being creative, so I knew this industry was a great fit for me.
The art of lashes is beautiful. Being able to be creative and see the transformation afterwards is always the best part.

I am set apart from others simply because my passion and faith fuels my journey. Providing a safe place for women to feel beautiful is a honor that I wholeheartedly cherish. It makes me proud.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Building an audience on social media isn’t an easy task, however it is needed. It’s all about connections. Having the ability to connect with someone hundreds of miles away from you is actually beneficial. Use this wide population of people to draw your target audience to your page. This helps build your audience and engagement.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

My side hustle definitely turned into my full time business and career. When my passion for beauty first began to blossom, I would have never known I would be in the beauty industry providing services. The biggest milestone was when I actually said yes to my calling. It was the best day ever.
