We recently connected with Destiney Lynn and have shared our conversation below.
Destiney, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
I absolutely love what I do! I really enjoy being able to wake up everyday & work my own hours & make my own schedule. Especially this past year, being a new mom & small business owner. The thought of having to balance a regular 9-5 & motherhood scared me! It didn’t seem possible! I am thankful I was able to navigate motherhood as I built my business to what it is today! Shout out to all the hard working mothers!
Destiney, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a 24 year old small business owner & full time mom! I’ve always had love for very extra & fun earrings. Growing up I would always be obsessed with Claire’s earrings. They were super fun & different. I remember in 3rd grade my teacher made me take my earrings out because they were distracting. They were pink & purple lollipops. My mom really allowed me to express myself & let my creative side shine through & I am so thankful for that! I’ve had a regular 9-5 from the age of 15-22. Most of the time I worked two jobs at a time. When my partner & I found out we were pregnant, we decided that I should take the year off. Me being the hard worker that I am, I obviously had to do something! I went to a craft store & picked up painting tools, resin & polymer clay. I really just wanted an outlet to express myself as I was going through the motions of pregnancy. I stared with two part resin & my resin earrings literally sold out the first day I posted them. I said to myself that this could really be a profitable way to make money. Three months later I went to my first craft show in Fredericksburg, Thriftworldexpo. I sold out of everything! It was absolutely insane! After that event I realized that people loved my art! After that event I really started to put my all into my business. I am now currently into the second year as a small business owner & full time mom. I would not want it any other way.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
