Alright, Desmond thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
A whole lot of people have unending misconceptions about art, they don’t believe in it, most people feel art is just a craft and one can’t earn a living from it, it affected my choice initially but eventually, I’m proud of my choice
Desmond , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a professional artist, Keyboardist, singer, art director and consultant. It all started like a play, from imitation from friends back then in the village untill it was no longer as usual as people thought. I developed my skills through the already endowed gift of God in me. I’ve always been versatile, sterning from drawing, moulding, painting, to church singing and learning how to play the keyboard. It didn’t happen immediately but I’m grateful to God for where I am today
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The joy and ecstatic purpose of life is embedded in what you do regularly as individuals. Apart from the financial gains of being an artist, I derive so much joy being a creative individual
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
To me, Social media works like magic. Once you do the best craft and you are good at what you do, the rest is story. Building my social media presence is not a subject of debate other than the fact that people like good things. Even though I’ve experienced lots of disappointments. My social media platforms are always being disabled. Say up to 7 times for the past 13 years. But I thank God. I just created a new one few weeks ago
