We recently connected with Desiree Estrada and have shared our conversation below.
Desiree, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
I believe one of the most significant things I was taught by my parents was to constantly find balance and joy in the little things that make each day special. Nowadays, I can say this helps me stay grounded and connected to my emotions.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into acting after realizing that my true passion lay in performing rather than following the path I was initially set on as a beauty queen and in marketing. Going to school for Theatre and the experiences I constantly live have allowed me to find a deeper connection to myself and express my emotions in a way that feels authentic and fulfilling. I provide creative performances that aim to touch the hearts of the audience and bring stories to life.
What sets me apart is my commitment to finding balance and joy in the little things, which keeps me grounded and connected to my emotions. This authenticity translates into my work, making my performances genuine and relatable. I’m most proud of my ability to stay true to myself and my values while pursuing my passion for acting.
I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know that my work is driven by a deep love for the craft and a desire to spread positive vibes. Through my performances, I aim to inspire others to listen to their inner voice amidst the chaos and find joy in the everyday moments.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My transparency as a person, my reliability, and my deep involvement in my community and craft have helped me build my reputation within my market. These qualities make me trustworthy and dependable, and they show my genuine passion and commitment to my work. My authenticity and dedication resonate with people, helping me connect with my audience on a deeper level.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn the belief that the career I picked in my 20s was the one I was destined to work in forever. I’ve come to understand that it’s never too late to start over. Going back to school and embarking on a new journey has been one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences of my life.
