We were lucky to catch up with Desiree Davis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Desiree thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
The biggest risk I’ve ever taken was walking away from the corporate job sector. Although this decision didn’t sit well with my family, I had to realize that my mental health was more important than being controlled. I also realized in my decision that I was very strong and resilient and had over came many obstacles and adversities that truly pushed me into my destiny. I’ve learned never let fear make you regretful.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Well I got into this industry from meeting my artist Teddy at a cookout of a mutual person. After further conversations with each other, he shared he did music. I then shared my corporate background in the financial industry. From there, we’ve been grinding every since 2014. Teddy is the one who pushed me
to start a Consulting business for up and coming artist.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
So actually the year of 2022, is when Teddy and I came to a mutual agreement that we must build our house first before we invite people inside. This resonates with me because in music, there are so many avenues and sectors that artist(s) can take. However, during these pivotal years in the culture, I have learned to be a student and a player of the game. Being a student, I am able to identify, research, and plan discussions accordingly. This also, helps me become a player in the game and manage in the areas of unforseen circumstances or untimely events that have and are shaping the scope of the culture. I’ve learned that if you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready. And when opened lanes of opportunities present themselves to be creative and find one’s niche to see what the people like or don’t like that’s when your true dynamics begin. True character is built in this process for our Consultants. Our team at TADA-7383 always conduct what some would say is an antiquated marketing technique. For us, this technique provides valuable data that allows us to wash, rinse, and repeat or eliminate and start from scratch. For me, it felt great to be in an open communication with our artist Teddy and have all voices heard with integrity and respect for the common goal. He pushed us as a firm and as his Consultants. And we pushed him as our client. So the reciprocity was genuine.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
What has been the most effective strategy for growing our clientele has been our willingness of being accountable and holding each other accountable. Accountability is a key component in business. This structure has helped on all levels between our company and artist. Especially when dealing with other people who play a vital part on delivering services that help with the next piece of the puzzle. We at TADA-7383 LLC Consulting and Management are always encouraging our Consultants to push the envelope and the brand. We always have round table discussions in the office or by phone on what made companies on the S&P 500, NASDAQ and NYSE tick? What made people whether artists or business owners pursue or approach this idea? The where’s, hows, and why’s are always flowing through our brains and dialog. We always jokingly say at the office, ” History repeats itself, all you have to do is look.” We always want to know how they’re thriving and what sets them apart from the rest.
