We were lucky to catch up with Desiree A. Cinada recently and have shared our conversation below.
Desiree A., thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
Let’s be honest, your products and services isn’t for everyone but the ones who shops and receive services from you are the clients you want to focus on keeping! Showing your customers appreciation is as simple as a follow up call, or maybe even remembering their birthday and gifting them a discount. Celebrating and honoring your clients will encourage them to not only support your business but also refer family & friends to shop & support too.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a multifaceted entrepreneur starting with Desiree A. Cinada Global Solutions, the holding company for my businesses/services. DAC Global solutions specialize in business consulting, coaching, network/community, and financial assistance for small businesses; I am also the founder and CEO of a nonprofit for women (Prayslayinspire). Cofounder for a children’s nonprofit (Lagonave Noukapab). Founder & CEO of Belle Touchè (clothing/shapewear/ beauty & wellness company). And the founder & host of “Built for this Podcast.” The definition of entrepreneurship is the activity of setting up a business or businesses and taking on financial risks in the hope of profit. Did you catch that? In entrepreneurship, you need a lot of hope and be prepared to take risks. For me, it’s been just that! There are a lot of pros & cons. Throughout my journey, I’ve experienced major wins, from hitting a financial goal of six figures and obtaining multiple commercial spaces to seeing my business at its peak and having to see it all shut down! Wow, what happened? Let’s say Entrepreneurship happened. I’ve experienced background City rules and regulation issues, and after correcting those issues, I got pregnant and moved to a new city. I’ve invested over 50K in business and had to watch my location close and start. What a bummer, but that’s my honesty and my transparent story. It felt horrible as I went through my struggle. Still, now I can say it was such a needed journey because that struggle allowed me to give birth to a new version of my business, which has equipped me with knowledge and resources so that I don’t make the same mistakes. I can now teach others how to bounce back from struggles and how to avoid some of the common entrepreneurship mistakes.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy in business for me has been transparency. When your clients feel that you can relate and understand their problems it makes them confident that you have the solution to their problems whether that’s through a product or service, that’s how I’ve managed to maintain and grow my clients.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
In all honesty I created my business social media pages and posted only 1 time a day in both my story & feed, my social media pages were not my primary focus, my primary focus was servicing my clients off of social media and building through networking events, door to door, and word of mouth! While doing all of these things I encouraged each and every person to follow my page and organically grew social medias.
