We were lucky to catch up with Derrek & Aundria Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.

Derrek & Aundria , appreciate you joining us today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?

Yes Scouts Honor is apart of our family. I had a regular job before we launched but I never had any time to focus on the business. The last time I thought about going back to the work force was when financials got tight, but I picked up the power of broke book. Which gave me a refresher of ways to market and brand my business when I was in trouble. In conclusion I started to use door dash, Uber, Lyft to create ways to make money and still have time to create for the brand.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

for us, fashion and style has been a way of life for as long as we remember. Beginning with the way my parents dressed me growing up. I’ve always had and been a fashion influence. My wife and partner has also been in the fashion industry for almost 20 years. We actually met at Nordstrom. When we started Scouts Honor Clothing Company we were just having fun and trying to make something different.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Consistency, you have to be consistent start with on post a day, one conversation a day about your business. Then scale that up. Before you know it, you will live and breathe your company in every conversation and post on social media.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

My Co-founder/Business partner is my wife. I actually meet my wife back in Michigan at her Previous employer Nordstrom. She started my fashion journey and gave me the confidence to move forward with fashion as a career.
